African Chitah is a Tanzania-based safari tour company specializing in wildlife safaris, adventure tours, cultural experiences, and travel packages across Tanzania and Kenya.

2. Booking Policy

All safari bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by African Chitah.

A booking is considered confirmed only after:

  • Receipt of the required deposit payment
  • Written confirmation from our team
  • Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions

Clients are responsible for providing accurate personal information, travel dates, passport details, and any special requests at the time of booking.

3. Payment Terms

To secure your safari reservation:

  • A deposit may be required at the time of booking
  • Full payment must be completed before the safari departure date unless otherwise agreed

Payments can be made through:

  • Bank transfer
  • Online payment methods
  • Other approved payment options

Any bank transaction fees or international transfer charges are the responsibility of the client.

African Chitah reserves the right to cancel bookings if payments are not completed within the agreed timeline.

4. Pricing & Currency

All prices displayed on our website are quoted in USD unless otherwise stated.

Safari prices may change due to:

  • Government tax changes
  • Park fee updates
  • Fuel cost increases
  • Currency exchange fluctuations
  • Accommodation availability

However, confirmed bookings with completed payments will generally not be affected unless government-imposed changes occur.

5. Cancellation Policy

If a client cancels a safari booking, cancellation charges may apply depending on the cancellation period before the safari start date.

Possible cancellation costs may include:

  • Hotel cancellation fees
  • National park reservation charges
  • Transportation and logistics expenses
  • Administrative fees

Refund timelines may vary depending on banks and payment providers.

No refunds will be provided for:

  • Unused safari days
  • Missed activities
  • Late arrivals
  • Early departures
  • No-shows

6. Changes to Itinerary

African Chitah reserves the right to modify safari itineraries when necessary due to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Safety concerns
  • Wildlife movement
  • Road conditions
  • Government regulations
  • Accommodation availability
  • Operational reasons beyond our control

In such cases, we will attempt to provide suitable alternatives of similar quality whenever possible.

7. Travel Documents & Visas

Clients are fully responsible for obtaining:

  • Valid passports
  • Travel visas
  • Vaccination certificates
  • Travel insurance
  • Any required entry permits

African Chitah is not responsible for denied entry, visa rejection, or immigration issues.

We strongly recommend checking official travel requirements before departure.

8. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all clients.

Your insurance should ideally cover:

  • Medical emergencies
  • Trip cancellation
  • Delayed flights
  • Lost luggage
  • Personal accidents
  • Emergency evacuation
  • Safari-related activities

African Chitah is not liable for personal losses, injuries, or unforeseen travel disruptions.

9. Health & Medical Conditions

Clients must inform African Chitah before travel about:

  • Medical conditions
  • Dietary requirements
  • Physical limitations
  • Allergies
  • Special assistance needs

While we will do our best to accommodate requests, some safari activities may involve rough roads, walking, wildlife exposure, or remote locations.

Participation in safari activities is at the client’s own risk.

10. Wildlife & Safari Risks

Safaris involve visiting natural wilderness areas where wild animals roam freely.

Although safety precautions are followed, clients understand that wildlife activities involve inherent risks.

Clients agree to:

  • Follow guide instructions at all times
  • Respect wildlife safety distances
  • Remain inside safari vehicles when instructed
  • Avoid dangerous behavior around animals

African Chitah is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or incidents caused by failure to follow guide instructions.

11. Accommodation Standards

Accommodation provided during safaris is based on the selected package category:

  • Budget
  • Mid-range
  • Luxury
  • Premium

Accommodation photos on the website are for illustration purposes and may vary depending on availability and season.

In rare situations, accommodations may be replaced with similar standard alternatives.

12. Transportation

Safari transportation is provided using professionally maintained safari vehicles.

While we strive for reliable transportation, African Chitah is not liable for delays caused by:

  • Mechanical issues
  • Traffic conditions
  • Weather disruptions
  • Flight delays
  • Border procedures
  • Government restrictions

Reasonable efforts will always be made to minimize disruptions.

13. Flights & Delays

International and domestic flight schedules are controlled by airlines.

  • Flight cancellations
  • Missed connections
  • Airline schedule changes

Clients are advised to allow sufficient transit time between flights and safari departures.

14. Client Responsibilities

Clients are expected to:

  • Respect local laws and customs
  • Follow safari guide instructions
  • Treat staff respectfully
  • Avoid disruptive or unsafe behavior
  • Respect wildlife and protected areas

African Chitah reserves the right to remove any client from a safari without refund if their behavior threatens safety, wildlife, staff, or other guests.

15. Photography & Marketing

During safaris, photos or videos may occasionally be captured for promotional purposes.

By participating in our tours, clients grant African Chitah permission to use safari-related photographs or videos for:

  • Website content
  • Social media
  • Marketing materials
  • Promotional campaigns

If you prefer not to appear in promotional content, please notify us in writing before your safari.

16. Website Use

All content on this website, including:

  • Text
  • Images
  • Logos
  • Safari itineraries
  • Graphics
  • Branding

is the property of African Chitah unless otherwise stated.

Unauthorized copying, reproduction, or commercial use is prohibited.

17. Limitation of Liability
